WBAP 820 co-host Hal Jay returns to work after heart transplant
In January 2023, Hal Jay, co-host of WBAP News Talk 820 radio, suffered a major heart attack. That heart attack led Hal into needing a new heart. After 10 days of being on the transplant wait list, Hal Jay received the call that they had a donor heart.
Hal spent a month in the hospital, returning to his beloved job in April 2023. Hal now is an advocate for organ donation and stresses the importance of diet and exercise.
