Andrea McGuire gravitated toward a career in healthcare after dissecting a frog and a pig in fifth grade. The exposure to dissection and anatomy was the catalyst for her interest ... in surgery, enabling her to ultimately become a surgical physician assistant after graduating from PA school. She choose a career in medicine because by educating her patients she empowers them to live a healthier life. Outside of work, she enjoys travel, swimming, going to the drive-thru zoo, and spending time with family and friends. She is an avid animal lover, especially of dogs.
